Kathlyn Hufstetler is a dedicated partner at Patel Gaines and leads the firm’s highly successful Property Tax Division, representing over $16 billion in commercial property interests. Under her leadership, the division has seen exponential growth, expanding its representation from $5 billion to $11 billion in a remarkably short period. Kathlyn’s expertise in property tax litigation has led to substantial results, including over $22 million in taxable value reductions in notable cases including Houston House v. HCAD and Redford Owner v. HCAD.
In addition to her success in property tax litigation, Kathlyn is active in professional circles as a member of the 2024-25 TAPTP Bridge Committee. Recognized for her influence and contributions to the legal field, she has been named a Best Lawyer by Scene in SA and an EliteX 10 Extraordinary Women to Watch award recipient.
